Mountains homes have two problems at once: a bushfire rating to satisfy and a cold, damp winter to keep out. We supply uPVC windows and doors that answer both, from Glenbrook up through Katoomba and Blackheath.

Bushfire compliance
Most of the Blue Mountains sits inside a bushfire prone area, and any replacement work can bring a Bushfire Attack Level into the conversation. The rating applies to the opening, not just the glass: frame material, glass thickness, screening and the way the unit seals all form part of the requirement.
We supply uPVC windows and doors in configurations rated up to BAL 40. If you already have a BAL assessment, send it with your plans and we will specify each opening to the level it actually needs, rather than over specifying the whole house or leaving a gap that fails at certification.
The range
Every style is made to measure and available double or triple glazed. Choose the look and the way it opens, and we will match it to the performance your rooms need.

Best for: Condensation control
Explore double glazed windows and doorsCold and damp
Above the escarpment the winter is long, wet and genuinely cold, and plenty of mountains houses were built with single glazed timber or aluminium. The result is water running down the inside of the glass by morning, mould appearing on the reveals and heating that never quite catches up.
Double glazed uPVC changes the surface temperature of the inside pane, which is what drives the condensation in the first place. Multi chamber frames and compression seals stop the draughts that make a mountains lounge room feel cold even with the heater running.
Is it time to upgrade?
If any of these sound familiar, replacement will make a real difference to how the house feels and performs.

Common questions
Yes. We supply uPVC windows and doors in bushfire rated configurations up to BAL 40, built to the glazing and sealing requirements that apply at that level. The specification depends on the Bushfire Attack Level assessed for your property.
Send the report through with your plans or a list of openings. We will match each opening to its required rating so the specification lines up with what the assessment calls for.
It deals with the cold surface, which is half the problem. The other half is how much moisture a mountains house holds through a wet winter, so pair the glazing with a way to ventilate. Awning sashes that stay open in light rain are the usual answer up here.
We install across the whole Blue Mountains local government area, from Glenbrook through to Blackheath and Mount Victoria.
No. uPVC does not rot, swell or rust, and the colour is part of the profile rather than a painted finish, so wet mountains winters do not degrade it.
